Biography

Built where operations, strategy, and education converge.

James began his career in law enforcement, serving as a police detective and community affairs leader. That foundation — investigative rigor, community engagement, and accountability — continues to define his approach to enterprise security and resilience.

His transition into sports and entertainment security brought senior responsibility for safety, crowd management, command operations, and brand protection at major venues including Barclays Center and Cedar Park Center. He later moved into institutional security and risk environments, including roles at Texas A&M Health Science Center.

As founder of Unified Sports & Entertainment Security Consulting, James advises stadiums, arenas, leagues, enterprises, universities, and government partners on enterprise risk, business continuity, crisis management, vendor governance, and event-day operations.

In parallel, James serves as an adjunct faculty member and curriculum contributor across multiple universities — teaching graduate and undergraduate students in sports security, event management, and risk assessment — and is a frequent keynote speaker, panelist, and author.
